Robert Thompson of Kilburn 'Mouseman' Oak Bar Stools in Furniture Auction

A familiar name to many, Robert Thompson of Kilburn is well know for his furniture crafted with a carved mouse. Such items have become known as 'Mouseman' and Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood are offering a lovely set of 'Mouseman' oak bar stools on day three of  the next Quarterly Fine Sale on 1st May 2014 being part of the Nye Collection of Furniture.

The oval shaped seats are on octagonal splayed legs, with metal foot rests and united by plain stretchers. Each stool is carved with the iconic mouse. Measuring 77.5cm high, this wonderful set of chairs is inviting bids between £4,000 and £6,000.

Day three of the Quarterly Fine Sale (FS22), which will be held at our Exeter salerooms, will include approximately 150 lots of furniture with estimates to suit all pockets. It will then be followed by a selection of ceramics, glass and metalwares.
