In the last couple of weeks the entries for our next major picture sale on 31st October 2012 have taken-off with fresh to the market collections and works including Dorothea Sharp, Paul Emile Leon Perboyre, Johannes Rosierse, Archibald Thorburn, Fred Yates, Bush Hardy and Australian artist Frank Harding, ensuring another nice quality 100 lot sale with plenty of variety

The Dorothea Sharp oil of children on a beach has an estimate of £2,500-£3,500 and the Fred Yates view of a Cornish Harbour £800-£1,200. The 19th century panel by Johannes Rosierse is a very attractive example of a candlelit interior with an estimate of £4,000-£6,000.

The collection of seven Thorburn drawings and watercolours have estimates from £300-£3,000 and there is also a collection by descent form the studio of Edward Wesson, which includes a view of Le Sacre Coer at £250-£350.

A collection of 14 paintings by the Australian artist Frank Harding includes a view of mining at 'Golden Gulley', estimated at £300-£500. This and the other paintings in the collection demonstrate Harding's scholarly interest in colonial bush-ranging in Australia and are a fascinating view of the period.

Catalogues for the sale will be available on the Internet or by post from mid October.
