Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood are sponsoring the private view of the 'Masters of the Moor: William and FJ Widgery' exhibition, organised by the Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM), which opens on 6th July 2013 and runs to 27th July 2013.
The exhibition is free and can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday each week between 10:00am and 5:00pm. It is closed on Mondays and Bank Holidays. The exhibition itself is being supported by the Friends of Exeter Museums & Art Gallery, whilst the gallery interpretation is supported by RAMM's volunteers
Richard Bearne, Chairman of Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood, said: "We are very pleased to be helping RAMM, the Museum of the Year 2012, in this way. Both William and FJ Widgery were important Westcountry artists and it is good to see their work being exhibited in the city in which they lived and worked."
Our picture department handles a good number of paintings by both William Widgery and FJ Widgery each year, their work being ever popular at auction.

Both father and son lived and painted in Devon. William Widgery was self-taught and developed a style that was particularly suited to large scale works. In contrast, FJ Widgery received formal art training, with his fine draughtmanship more suited to works of a smaller scale and illustration.
