Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood's Picture Department have been selling a private collection by Cornish based artist Mary Martin [born 1951]. After post-graduate work at the Royal Academy Schools, Mary Martin left in 1975 to become a full time artist. Martin has exhibited at the Royal Academy, Oliver Swann Gallery and extensively through Devon and Cornwall.
We have just sold two of Mary Martin’s paintings in January (FS17/464) and (FS17/465) and there are fivemore Mary Martin paintings in our forthcoming auction of selected pictures to be held on 26th February 2013 at our Exeter Salerooms. The first of these Mary Martin paintings (EX63/81) is of an Autumn Valley, signed and dated bottom right.

The other three can be viewed in the sale catalogue EX63/78, EX63/79 and EX63/80.
All five of the pictures in the forthcoming sale to be held in Okehampton Street, Exeter on 26th February 2013 have light and summer as their subjects and have modest estimates from £50-£250.
