Irish Landscape Paintings by Alan Kenny

Published 9th January 2009

Good Irish landscape paintings have character and quality and there are a number of highly regarded Irish painters from the 20th Century. Paul Henry (1876-1958) is the obvious example. Henry depicted nature as awe inspiring and powerful, and major paintings by Paul Henry regularly fetch six-figure sums. On 25 February 2009, I would expect more affordable prices when we offer two views by the Irish artist Alan Kenny which are in the tradition of the Irish landscape with nature as the dominant subject. The oil paintings illustrated are entitled Glencolmkille, Co Donegal and Part of Twelve Bens, Connemara. Both are signed, the largest measures 51 x 76cm and each is estimated at £300-500
